02 How it works
Near IR light enters inside our cell and gets absorbed by Cytochrome C oxidase, a mediator molecule in electron transport chain, to increase the production of ATP, ROS, and Nitric Oxide. This starts a series of chain reaction involving the change of intracellular redox potential, potassium, CAMP and pH to induce the production of transcription factors such as Ref-1, AP-1, NFkB, and HIF 1-a. These transcription factors are known to play critical role in cell division, growth, DNA synthesis, RNA synthesis, and cell motility and production of growth factors and extracellular matrix deposition.
